LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A home run derby in Luzerne County is raising funds for an American Legion Baseball team.
Derby competitors and fans packed Hilldale Park in Plains Township.
Each batter had ten pitches for their chance at a homerun.
The winner received a 50-dollar donation to their team and bragging rights.
Jared O'Day, who played for the 'Savannah Bananas' also took part.
O'Day is a 2019 graduate of GAR High School in Wilkes-Barre.
