FORTY FORT - It's almost time for some trick or treating! But for folks seeking scary thrills tonight, there's a home in Forty Fort that holds a haunted house all week in anticipation of Halloween.
“I love halloween, and I like to see the kids come!” said Judy Ruth, who, for the better half of a decade, has held the haunted house. “I change it every year!” she said.
This year, she has a spook-filled cemetery with ghosts and skeletons lying dead! If that’s not enough to give you the chills, dare to walk inside the haunted house. It’s filled with nearly 80 characters, each one scary.
“My biggest thing in there is the ghost busters theme,” she said.
The house opens every year, a full week before the day of the dead, catered to little ones, but free for anyone.
“There’s nothing to be nervous about, there’s different things for everyone to see,” said Rachel Fleegle of Mountain Top.
Judy collects these characters year round, often finding them at yard sales and then starts building the haunted house during the summertime! But to her, it's all worth it.
“Everyone gets a treat, and I just like to see their faces!” said Ruth.
If you want to scream out of your skin, come down to River Street in Forty Fort 6pm until 9 pm through Halloween night.
