WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — State troopers and Wilkes-Barre police have been investigating at a home in Wilkes-Barre since Tuesday night.
Officers with the Wilkes-Barre Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police responded to the home along Carlisle Street in Wilkes-Barre around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Forensic anthropologists from Mercyhurst University in Erie arrived at the scene Wednesday morning.
State police forensics experts are also at the home.
Newswatch 16 saw investigators bringing shovels and buckets into the home, along with lights and other equipment.
Neighbors tell us the home has been empty for a while.
"Lately, there's been a lot of people moving in and out, living there, I guess, trying to pay rent or doing whatever they're doing. And there would be times where there'd be screaming and yelling and carrying on and just arguing and fighting, but a month ago, I'll say, zip, noise just gone," said neighbor Gary Muchler.
There is no word from investigators on the nature of this investigation.
