PITTSTON, Pa. — With the Pittston Tomato Festival comes the annual free bicycle helmet giveaway.
Each year, Hourigan Kluger and Quinn's charitable organization HKQ Kids gives out free helmets to children attending the Tomato Festival.
Safety and following the law are top of mind in Luzerne County.
"We want to make sure the kids stay safe. It's just accidents happen. We don't want to see the children get hurt, and our foundation started from a child being hurt and the family asked us to give back to the community, and we try to," said Sue Greenfield, HKQ Kids Children's Foundation.
This is the 15th year for the bike helmet giveaway at the Pittston Tomato Festival.
