One hospitalized after shooting in Wilkes-Barre

Officers responded to East Northampton Street around 4 p.m. Monday.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — One person is in the hospital after a shooting in Wilkes-Barre.

Officers responded to part of East Northampton Street around 4 p.m. Monday.

Police say one man was injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment; there is no word yet on his condition.

A stretch of East Northampton Street is shut down as police investigate.
