HAZLETON -- Republican Jeff Cusat is the unofficial winner of the race for mayor of Hazleton.
"We've got to get the people involved," said Cusat, addressing the city's crime problem. "We've got to work with the crime units, make people aware of what the laws are. We've got to get the police on the streets to be more active."

Cusat is a Hazleton City Council member. The Republican was first elected in 2014. He owns and manages Cusat's Café in Hazleton and recently opened a travel agency. He lost a bid for mayor in 2011.
