HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Luzerne County man fired a gun at his on-again-off-again girlfriend Tuesday as she got into her car to drive away from his house, according to Hanover Township police.

Anthony Pascoe, 22, is locked up in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility without bail on charges including aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Magisterial District Judge Joseph D. Spagnuolo Jr. would not allow Pascoe bail because he believed him to be a danger to the victim, according to a court docket.

Pascoe is accused of firing shots at his girlfriend's car Tuesday evening while she was in it. Pascoe allegedly was angry with the victim from an earlier argument, according to a criminal complaint.

One bullet struck her windshield and lodged itself into the vehicle's rear seat, the police said. A bullet fragment was later recovered by police. The victim managed to flee to safety, police said.

Officers found three long guns and one handgun while searching Pascoe's home.

Pascoe was arrested and lodged at county jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled January 17th.

It was unclear Wednesday if he has a lawyer.
