WILKES-BARRE -- The man who sparked a state wide Amber Alert last summer pleaded guilty to nearly a dozen counts in Luzerne County Wednesday.
The alert was issued when Walter Lewis allegedly kidnapped his 16-year-old girlfriend from a home on Eastview Drive in Wilkes-Barre in July. He was accused of firing his gun and pistol whipping someone.
Prosecutors say the kidnapping charge was later withdrawn because the girl refused to testify.
Lewis pleaded guilty to making terroristic threats, simple assault, fleeing police, and other charges.
