WILKES-BARRE -- A man who ran for district judge six months ago instead found himself facing a judge in Wilkes-Barre Friday.
Jared Kane turned himself in after state police charged him with forgery and false swearing.
Investigators say he admitted someone forged signatures of about 50 people on his nominating petition to run for office.
In May, Kane lost the primary election to replace his father, Magistrate Martin Kane.
Kane's lawyer says he'll plead guilty and expects him to receive probation.
