LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Fish fry Fridays are back and better than ever at one fire company in Luzerne County.
The Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department near Dallas hosted its annual Fish Fry Friday dinner on Friday night.
This is the fifth year for the Lenten special.
Organizers expected to hand out between 200 and 300 meals tonight, volunteers say it's the fire department's biggest fundraiser of the year.
"It's very important. If it wasn't for the help of the community, we wouldn't be able to stay open. That's what we solely go by is fundraisers," said Kim Trindle, a volunteer.
Fish Fry Friday runs every Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. until March 29th at the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department in Luzerne County.
