LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Earlier this week, the first direct flights to Orlando, Florida began from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
It's the first time the service, offered through Breeze Airways, has been available in years.
Folks who took that first round trip to the Sunshine State on Tuesday returned Saturday afternoon.
One passenger said she had a good experience on the flight, and it cost much less than other flights.
"I thought it was really awesome because I go to school in Florida, and it is usually really expensive to fly. It's usually like $300 to $400, so it was about half the price, and that's pretty awesome," said Jahtearya Williams, New Jersey.
Breeze Airways flights will be offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and in May, flights will be added on Thursdays and Sundays as well.
