Fight, stabbing lead to arrest in Luzerne County

Wilkes-Barre police responded Tuesday night after an altercation and stabbing on Bowman Street.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A man has been arrested after a fight and stabbing in Luzerne County.

Police were called around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to Bowman Street in Wilkes-Barre for a report that people were shooting a gun, a group of people were fighting, and a man had been stabbed.

Police were told the person responsible for the stabbing fled the scene. Anthony Perez, 29, of Nanticoke, was later arrested while hiding near New Hancock Street.

Investigation revealed there was a dispute over some children staying at a home on Bowman Street, leading to a fight and stabbing.

Perez is locked up on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and related charges.
