LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A 19-year-old Glen Lyon woman is dead following an early Saturday morning crash in Luzerne County.

The crash that killed Kaycee A. Kreitzer happened just after 4 a.m. where Hunlock-Harveyville Road intersects with Nevel Hollow Road in Union Township, state police said.

State police suspect alcohol may be involved, though the crash remains under investigation.

Kreitzer was a passenger in a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado pick-up driven by 19-year-old Tyler Mizell, of Hanover Township.

Mizell veered off the road and struck an embankment, state police said.  The impact threw Kreitzer from the truck.

Kreitzer died at the scene. Neither she nor Mizell wore seatbelts, state police said.

Mizell was also hurt and he went to Geisinger Wyoming Valley. The severity of his injuries were unclear.

The crash remains under investigation.
