WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Christmas came a little early this year in Luzerne County due to COVID-19 concerns.
This year, Wilkes-Barre opted for a scaled-down version of its traditional parade.
It was originally scheduled for Saturday, but it was moved because of the coronavirus.
Santa waved to the crowd from a city fire truck while police officers and firefighters led the pack.
The city's 25 feet tall tree was lit to help mark the start of the Christmas season in Wilkes-Barre.
