LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A man will spend at least four months behind bars for abusing a dog in 2021 in Luzerne County.
Terik Wiggins and Shaniqwa Scott dumped an emaciated, flea-ridden dog in Pittston. The dog, now named Nova, has since been adopted by Pittston's former police chief.
Wiggins pleaded guilty to animal abuse charges earlier this year; he's been in jail since last month. After not showing up to his original sentencing hearing. Shaniqwa Scott pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges. She will be sentenced next month.
