PARDEESVILLE, Hazle Township — A death investigation is underway after a woman was found dead at a hotel near Hazleton.
State troopers say the body of a 38-year-old woman was found at the Red Carpet Inn along North Church Street in Hazle Township early Saturday.
The victim's identity is not being released until her family is notified.
Police say Joseph Sarimento, 36, is locked up on aggravated assault and related charges.
Troopers say the death investigation is ongoing in Luzerne County.
