Crosswalks repainted in Luzerne County after pedestrian hit

The crosswalks near Butler Street Park, as well as along 8th Street in Wyoming, were repainted on Tuesday after 10-year-old Alexis Brown was hit by a car back in May

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Crosswalk lines were repainted in one borough in Luzerne County on Tuesday, more than a month after a 10-year-old girl was hit by a car.

At the end of May, Alexis Brown was hit while trying to get to Butler Street Park in Wyoming.

Crews have since repainted the crosswalks along 8th Street and near the park.

The mayor says the borough is working with PennDOT to approve additional signs to keep pedestrians safe.
