Crash on I-80 injures 3 people and closes all lanes in Luzerne County

A stretch of the Interstate 80 west has been shut down due to a crash in Luzerne County.

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Drivers are being notified to take alternative routes after a crash was reported on I-80 on Thursday night in Luzerne County.

First responders shut the westbound lanes when the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. at mile marker 267.5 in Dennison Township near White Haven. 

Valley Regional Fire and Rescue confirmed a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. 3 injuries were confirmed.

Air medical crews responded to the scene of the accident.

There is no information on the cause of the accident at the moment or when the I-80 West will reopen.
