Victim identified in deadly wreck on Interstate 80 in Luzerne County

The crash Wednesday morning closed the eastbound lanes of I-80 between the Route 309 Mountain Top/Hazleton exit (262) and the White Haven/Freeland exit (273).

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Authorities have identified the victim in a deadly crash that closed part of Interstate 80 in Luzerne County on Wednesday morning.

State police say Jessica Labarge, 43, from White Haven, lost control of her SUV and crashed around 9:30 a.m. while traveling east on I-80 in Dennison Township. Investigators say she died after being thrown from the vehicle.

The crash caused the closure of the highway for several hours.

That stretch of highway reopened Wednesday afternoon.
