KINGSTON, Pa. — March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health and Developmental Services want to celebrate the talents of those with developmental disabilities.
The organization hosted an arts and crafts fair titled 'Artistic Expressions: An Inclusive Art and Craft Fair.'
"This is the 3rd year we're doing it. We wanted to bring our individuals who are differently abled alongside community artists to make it truly inclusive, and that's what the month is about. It's about celebrating our diversity and promoting inclusion," said Amy Tomkoski, Dep. Administrator Luzerne-Wyoming County Mental Health & Developmental Services.
The fair at the Friedman JCC in Kingston featured disabled artists alongside others from the community.
