LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A fundraiser dinner was held at the Jenkins Township Volunteer Hose Company Sunday afternoon.
Kayla is a sophomore at Pittston Area High School who was diagnosed with melanoma two years ago.
She and her family are spending a lot of time traveling back and forth from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment.
Kayla's uncle says it was amazing to see all the love and support for her.
"The show of love was amazing, all the people that came out here, it was great to have so many support, and show support, and we thank everybody that came out," said Bob Callahan, Kayla's uncle.
All proceeds from the event go to helping Kayla and her family in Luzerne County.
