LUZERNE, Pa. — The 3rd Annual Back Mountain Trail 5K returned on New Year's Eve, bringing hundreds out for a healthy way to wind down 2023.
Families and runners of all abilities joined in on the fun.
The winner of the 3.1-mile race says he loves spending time with his loved ones during the race.
"It's a great tradition. We've actually been doing this now for three years; this is our third time, and it really ends the year off on a good note," said Daniel Danilovitz, Moosic.
More than 700 people participated in the race. Proceeds from the race benefit non-profit organizations in the Back Mountain.
