WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Cancer fighters and survivors were celebrated Sunday in Wilkes-Barre, showing off their strength through a free photo shoot at Diamond City Studios.
The annual “I Picture Hope” photo event is more than an opportunity to model; it also helps raise awareness for cancer patients and gives them confidence.
From getting their hair and makeup done to posing in front of photographers, volunteers pulled off this photoshoot to help cancer survivors feel like themselves.
“If you look at those photos and it makes you feel a little bit like yourself, then my job was done,” said Lori Prashker-Thomas, cancer survivor and photographer.
Any proceeds from photos purchased from the participants' galleries will be split among Paint Pittston Pink and Breast Friends of Pennsylvania.
