HAZLETON, Pa. — The 4th annual Independence Day Charity Event was held at City View Park on Thursday.
Vendors, food trucks, live music, and entertainment filled the park. The event is put on by the "Paul and Lisa Deangelo Family Foundation." The non-profit raises money for area youth organizations.
"Not only creating a great day, for Independence Day, for everyone to celebrate and have fun together but also raising money to help these groups that are making a huge difference in these kids' lives," said Paul DeAngelo.
Since it started, the Independence Day Charity Event has helped raise more than $300,000 for organizations in the Hazleton area.
