LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — On Saturday, the Wyoming Valley Children's Association held its 32nd Annual Do It for the Kids Walk-A-Thon in Luzerne County.
The event raises thousands of dollars for the school and its students each year.
Folks of all ages gathered along Wyoming Ave in Forty Fort for the 2.5-mile walk and enjoyed other activities like face painting and raffles.
The grand opening of the Meuser Family Playground was also celebrated.
The playground project was made possible by the generosity of Scott and Susan Meuser, two of WVCA's strongest advocates.
The playground expansion is part of WVCA's $4 million Centennial Campaign.
