Schuylkill County man sentenced for indecent exposure

Blaine Arner of Tamaqua was sentenced to state prison for luring a child into a vehicle and exposing himself.

LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa. — A Schuylkill County man has been sentenced for child sex crimes on Friday.

Lehigh County District Attorney sentenced Blaine Arner, 63, of Tamaqua, for luring a child and indecent exposure back in March.

Arner lured and exposed himself to a 9-year-old girl from his pickup truck in Lynn Township in Lehigh County on March 11. The girl was walking her dogs with three other children. 

Arner was locked up on March 13 on unrelated theft and firearms charges.

Arner pleaded guilty on July 29 to charges of luring a child into a motor vehicle and four counts of indecent exposure. He is ordered to serve 7 ½-15 years in prison after a hearing on Thursday and must register for life as a sexually violent predator.

After his release, Arner must serve 15 years of probation.

He was locked up in the Lehigh County Jail.
