MOOSIC, Pa. — The Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern PA hosted the Walk to End Epilepsy at PNC Field in Moosic.
The event served as an opportunity to connect with others who are dealing with the same things.
Organizers say the walk shows others they're not alone.
"Epilepsy can make you feel really isolated and depressed, and you could feel like you are alone in this journey, so being here shows people that you are not alone and there are people that care about you and we are here to support each other," said Rena Loughlin, Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania.
Money raised from this year's walk will go toward preparations for the Michael P. Loughlin Epilepsy Community AND Resource Center in Kingston.
The center's grand opening is planned for January.
