SCRANTON, Pa. — At Green Ridge Assembly of God in Scranton, the church has been prepping their annual Thanksgiving Dinner for days.
For more than a decade, the church has been serving the community with a free Thanksgiving Dinner. It all started to give people a place to enjoy a warm meal with others if they had no place else to go.
Organizers say each year they serve more than 100 people at the dinner and hope it grows in the coming years.
The free dinner is on Thanksgiving Day at Green Ridge Assembly of God in Scranton from 12 to 5 or until food runs out.
