BLAKELY, Pa. — A ball celebrating those serving in the military returned to part of Lackawanna County.
Valhalla Veterans Services' annual Fall Ball was held at Fiorelli's in Blakely Saturday night.
The ball serves as the nonprofit's biggest fundraiser of the year.
"We are an organization that hires veterans and those that are also skilled in counseling, so we provide that opportunity for them to open up, talking and communicating with each other so that we can just save a life," said Justin Behrens, Executive Director of Valhalla Veterans Services.
The event honors all active service members, veterans, first responders, and their families in northeastern Pennsylvania.
