Unique craft market held in Scranton

More than 50 vendors came together Saturday for a craft fair unlike any other in downtown Scranton.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A curious craft fair took place in the Electric City on Saturday.

The Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple was packed with shoppers for Curiosities: A Uniquely Different Craft Market.

The craft fair featured more than 50 vendors catering to horror movie lovers, the metaphysical, and more.

This was the 3rd year for the event.

"And the reason why we do it is we get other businesses involved and showcase them because small business, in my opinion, is the backbone of the country. We all need to stick together and make it happen, you know, so this is what it's all about as much exposure as possible as you could get, and there's pretty amazing talented people right in our backyard. We love giving them the opportunity to shine for sure," said John Balucha, Wyoming Valley Ghost Tours.

Organizers say they hope to grow the event next year by adding more vendors and expanding to other floors of the Cultural Center in Scranton.
