SCRANTON, Pa. — A Halloween event in Scranton drew quite the crowd Saturday afternoon.
The Creative and Performing Arts Academy at the Ritz Theater hosted a trunk or treat.
There were games, concessions, and entertainment, and of course, there was plenty of candy.
Organizers say the trunk or treat was a great way to get the community involved in Halloween.
"I think it makes this holiday a little more community-focused; we all get together, a lot of us live in rural communities where we don't get to hang with our neighbors, and we get to put our trunks out and see the kids all dressed up," said Michael Melcher, organizer.
More than a thousand people stopped by Saturday afternoon's trunk or treat in Scranton.
