SCRANTON, Pa. — Tuesday marked the 6th Annual District Skills USA Competition at Johnson College in Scranton.
Students from all over northeastern and central Pennsylvania showed off their talents, from carpentry to welding.
Participants say the competition keeps them on their toes.
"I like how it's like you're taking the aspect of like construction and fitting it into a small project, but it's also a very challenging project. You have to use your mind, think slowly, don't overthink anything. This is my second year competing, and I can tell from the two years it is much different, you know, always gotta take it slow," said
Tuesday's winners will move on to the state-level competition in April.
