DUNMORE, Pa. — Three people are in the hospital after a stabbing and shooting in Lackawanna County.
Officers with the Dunmore Police Department responded to the Commons apartment complex along University Drive in Dunmore around 3 a.m. Sunday morning, after receiving reports of a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found a man stabbed multiple times.
While on scene investigating the stabbing, officers heard gunshots in the area and found two men with gunshot wounds soon after.
All three victims were taken to the hospital for treatment; there is no word yet on their condition.
Penn State Scranton officials say none of the victims were students.
The stabbing and shooting remain under investigation by Dunmore Police.
Counseling is also available to members of the campus community, according to officials.
