OLD FORGE, Pa. — Three people who owned and managed a used car dealership and title transfer business in Lackawanna County face charges they ripped off more than 20 customers since 2022.

Three criminal complaints filed by the state police Vehicle Fraud Unit alleged customers of Triple M Auto and 365 Auto LLC, of North Main Street in Old Forge, purchased cars but soon complained they could not get the titles or registrations for their vehicles.

The complaints charged Ciera Harris, 31, of Dunmore, Kevin Lewis, 33, of West Pittston, and Andrew Montgomery, 30, of Dunmore, with several counts of theft and related offenses. Warrants were issued for their arrests.

Harris owned and was responsible for vehicle sales at Triple M Auto, state police said. Lewis owned 365 Auto, a title transfer business next door, and Montgomery managed the office.

Investigators alleged they found 22 victims collectively scammed out of $45,361 between January 2022 and January 2023.
