A food pantry that serves hundreds of families in Lackawanna County got quite a boost this weekend.
The Springbrook Township Volunteer Fire Company played host Saturday to the Wurst Oktoberfest Ever.
The sale of knockwurst, bratwurst and other German staples raised money for the North Pocono Food Pantry.
Organizers hope the Oktoberfest will bring in about $12,000 for the food pantry. They hope that money will get them through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
In exchange for a $20 ticket, the crowd got access to raffles, live music, cold beer and of course - plenty of food.
