SCRANTON, Pa. — The Steamtown Music Awards kicked off the 11th annual Electric City Music Conference Thursday night.
Musicians came together at the V-spot Bar in Scranton. Rich Howells interviewed some of the artists on the Blue Carpet. He tells Newswatch 16 that the awards mean a lot to local artists.
"This is a great way to get publicity for what you're doing, but also make connections and meet other local artists who may have those connections you're looking for," said Rich Howells, Host of Blue Carpet.
The Electric City Music Conference continues through Sunday in downtown Scranton.
