SCRANTON, Pa. — Tuesday night was the Summer Kick-Off Celebration and Family Fun Night for St. Joseph's Center.
Folks came out to McDade Park in Scranton to enjoy music, ice cream, raffles, and even face painting.
"A few years ago, we started these great events where we bring together the community. We celebrate all that is good about Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania that includes bike riding, ice cream, fire trucks, community, and friends. And we're bringing everyone together," said Sister Maryalice Jacquinot, St. Joseph's Center.
Folks also had the first chance to buy Go Joe 27 t-shirts, hats, and even beach balls.
Meteorologist Joe Snedeker will ride his bike again next month for Go Joe 27 to raise money for kids and adults with disabilities.
