Spring plant sale in Scranton

The Greenhouse Project hosted the plant sale at Nay Aug Park on Sunday.

SCRANTON, Pa. — If you were looking for some flowers or other plants for mom, a plant sale in Scranton was a good place to go.

The Greenhouse Project hosted the plant sale at Nay Aug Park.

Folks could buy perennial herbs, lavender, hanging baskets, and plants for the garden, like lettuce, peppers, and broccoli.

"This is a great space for people to come with their family, their kids. Yesterday, we had a dad and his son here. You know, he's probably eight years old and he planted up a pot for his mom for a gift. And we just tried to make a community here. We're like where plants grow people. That's what we like to say," said Jane Risse, The Greenhouse Project.

The plant sale continues every weekend through the end of May in Scranton.
