LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — The Fraternal Order of Police donated $25,000 Thursday to the Gino Merli Center in Scranton.
The president of the organization says they love getting to help those who sacrificed so much for our country.
"It's great. I mean, I've had relationships with some these residents that are here, and it's just a good feeling especially doing it around Christmas time to give them something to raise their spirits," said Justin Butler, President of FOP, Scranton and Dunmore.
In addition to the donation, the Fraternal Order of Police bought lunch for all of the workers who take care of our veterans at the facility in Scranton.
