CARBONDALE, Pa. — It was a soppressata celebration in Lackawanna County on Saturday.
The Meredith Hose Company near Carbondale hosted a contest for makers of the cured meat.
Photos sent in by the hose company showed 24 different kinds of soppressata, all homemade.
The contest is a big fundraiser for the hose company. This was its 28th year.
Jim Pettinato took home first place, Pat Nolan came in second, and third place went to Bob Molinaro.
Newswatch 16's Mindi Ramsey was one of the judges for the soppressata contest in Lackawanna County.
