TAYLOR, Pa. — Crews battled a brush fire Tuesday in Lackawanna County.
The fire started after 11 a.m. in the wooded area behind a shopping center along North Main Street in Taylor.
Crews dug fire lines with an excavator to stop the fire from spreading. After about an hour, the flames were under control.
Fire officials tell Newswatch 16 the fire likely started because of dry and windy conditions.
