SCRANTON -- The weather is good for skiers eager to hit the slopes. Montage Mountain in Scranton opened for the season on Wednesday.
People were out enjoying the sun and the slopes.
Last season, the resort didn't open until January.
Montage is offering free rentals and $15 lift tickets until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Shawnee Mountain Ski Resort near Marshalls Creek also opened Wednesday.
