Scranton School District receives grant for Chromebooks

The Chromebooks are being loaned to students who do not have computers at home.

SCRANTON, Pa. — The Scranton School District received a half-million-dollar state grant to buy about 1,700 Chromebooks.

The superintendent said the Chromebooks are being loaned to students who do not have computers at home.

That way, they can continue their education while out of school.

Many of the devices were given to families this week.
