SCRANTON -- From the street to the classroom, a Scranton police officer spent some time Wednesday with first graders at George Bancroft Elementary on Albright Avenue.
K-9 Officer Robert Stelmak read a story about a police K-9 to students.
It's part of the "Cops and Kids" program which has Scranton police officers read to elementary children each month in city schools.
