Scranton JCC holds annual Hanukkah Street Festival

The third annual Hanukkah festival shared Jewish culture with the community through food, music, and games.

SCRANTON, Pa. — The Scranton JCC held their annual Hanukkah Street Festival Sunday afternoon.

The event featured Jewish artists playing live music, plenty of free food and all kinds of different activities.

Activities included games, bumper cars, a menorah lighting and folks could use an olive press to make their own olive oil.

Organizers said the event is a great way for the community to learn about Jewish culture.

"The great aspect of this is that it’s such a great opportunity for us to be able to share our Jewish culture, traditions and everything about this wonderful holiday with the entire community,” said Dan Cardonick, JCC Scranton CEO.

This was the Scranton JCC's third annual Hanukkah Street Festival in Lackawanna County.
