Crews called to three brush fires in Scranton

The fires were all located in a wooded area near Olive Street. Crews are investigating what caused them.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Three brush fires are under investigation tonight in Scranton.

The fires broke out Wednesday evening around 5:30pm along Olive Street in the city, near the railroad tracks.

Some high grass and trees were damaged, but no one was hurt.

The Scranton fire department is investigating the cause of the brush fires.

A fire department K-9 was brought to the scene to smell for accelerants, but officials said no accelerants were found.
