JESSUP, Pa. — Scouts in Lackawanna County came together Saturday to help those in need.
Scouts from Troop 34 in Jessup held its annual Scouting for Food campaign, collecting non persishable food from residents and delivering them to the Jessup Bread Basket and Food Pantry.
"It's very successful. Thanks to the good hearts and generosity of the people of the community. It's great seeing the kids going out; they get so excited when they see a donation. It's pretty cool, seeing their excitement pointing to it, running out, getting it," said Michael Pilch, Asst. Scoutmaster BSA Troop 34.
More than 60 scouts, along with parents and troop leaders, helped make the event a success.
