Rooms flood overnight in Moosic hotel

The hotel is helping the affected guests find somewhere else to stay.

MOOSIC, Pa. — A hotel was evacuated overnight in Lackawanna County.

A pipe burst on the roof of the Courtyard by Marriott in Moosic early Tuesday morning.

Water flooded more than 30 rooms from the third floor to the first floor.

Alarms went off, startling some of the guests.

"We were just having fun, eating some Popeyes, when all of a sudden it went off again, went downstairs, and Ted said we have to get out," said Cory Manns of Dallas.

No one was injured.

The hotel is helping occupants find somewhere else to stay.
