GLENBURN TOWNSHIP -- Police say a woman used what appeared to be a stun gun to rob a bank Thursday morning in Lackawanna County.
Last month, a robbery at the same bank near Clarks Summit was part of a multi-county crime spree.
Investigators don't believe the two robberies are connected but customers say it is all very concerning.
One after another, customers showed up at the Glenburn branch of Peoples Security bank near Clarks Summit and were turned away.
Even police cars parked outside didn't keep people from going to the door and seeing the sign that the place was closed for an emergency.
It was robbed again. This time police say it was held up by a woman with what appeared to be a stun gun.
"I pulled in, I saw the police vehicles, I figured that they had to do with the previous robbery, obviously, walked over to the doors saw it was closed," said Stephen Golenski. "Here we go again."
Golenski was one of many customers shocked this has happened again.
Just last month, police say two robbers used guns to rob the bank. They ditched and torched a stolen SUV they used in the robbery in the Falls area of Wyoming County. No arrests were made.
Golenski says his business had checks stolen in that hold up that were deposited minutes before.
"About 10 minutes later, we were notified the bank had just been hit so we must have been here pulling out of the parking lot as they were pulling in, pretty amazing."
"I can't believe it, twice in a row. Too easy the first time, I guess," said Andy Lengel of Dalton.
Police don't believe the two robberies have any connection
Customers say any robbery here is concerning, let alone two of them.
"It's a shame, it's a shame what the world is coming to," said Ron Stacknick of Dalton
The last time the bank was robbed, police believe the robbers came in from along a wooded area next to the bank. Since then, the bank cut down the trees there hoping to prevent that from happening again.
"I didn't know this was a second time. I just have to go out and find another bank, I suppose," said Dave Johnson of Jackson.
A lot of customers did and the inconvenience wasn't what bothered them the most.
"Terrible, desperate times, you know," Lengel added.
Police describe the robber as a woman about 5 feet tall, heavy set, with blonde hair. She wore sunglasses and a wrap over her face.
They believe she left in a dark colored, greenish blue SUV.
