BENTON, Pa. — A bridge in Lackawanna County is closed after part of it collapsed on Tuesday.

Officials say the side of the bridge along Earl Clark Road in Benton Township collapsed while crews were working on the bridge deck.

The county's Department of Roads and Bridges says the bridge will need an engineering review and major repairs.
